Sgain Dubh pronounced (skee-an doo) is one of the most iconic accessories in Highland Dress and is deeply rooted in Scottish history, tradition, and symbolism. Translated from Gaelic Sgain means knife. Dubh, is "black" or "concealed" referring to its historical use as a hidden or secret knife. Traditionally worn in the top of the kilt hose on the strong hand side, proper etiquette dictates when entering the home of a friend on peaceful terms it would be switched to the other side.

History and tradition aside, this blade style very handy as an EDC knife excelling in all the tasks that it has for thousands of years.
